“What’s in your mouth?” I ask Andrew as we were sitting up in my room (no where near food at that moment, though I could tell it wasn’t a toy.) He answered “I don’t know…” and I could tell he really meant it! He eats and eats these days—probably a growth spurt—but sometimes has no idea what he is actually putting in his mouth.
“ I want an idea! ”
Andrew, wanting to be like Mary who always has “a good idea.”
“ Why do mommies always say ‘Just a second’…; I wish I could go in a boat; William is not a boy yet, huh? Where is the sun’s bed? I wish I could go in an airplane… ”
Some of Andrew’s comments and questions on our drive home from Pineview Resevoir.
So, Mary had a very vivid dream last night…She spent about a half hour this morning telling me about it—expounding details—while we were getting ready for church. It started off with scary bats. Mary was trying to fight them with Harry Potter. They got rid of them by throwing balls of fire at them. Then, they exchanged cell phones that had “kisses” on them (?)…then went back to their “tower.” “Are you married to Harry?” I ask. YES. The big green troll from Enchanted then entered the picture and captured them. He made them drink something yucky—Mary said it tasted like make-up (I was putting on my make up at that point in time of the story), but then somehow Mary and Harry became friends with the troll. They eventually left the troll’s house and decided to live in the house Harry grew up in (under the stairs, I ask? No…). Then, they went to Hogwarts where Harry’s Grandma taught class. Mary went to Hogwarts as well and all-of-a-sudden remembered that she had been there all along—like in the movies. They met up with Dolby. Then “clapper rats” stirred things up a bit and Mary and Harry once again fought side by side. After this episode, they decided to live with Harry’s Grandma. Mary and Harry had a baby, Lilly (which I thought was an appropriate name conisdering Harry’s parentage…I don’t even think Mary knows that detail). Mary and Harry taught Lilly how to write. The dream keeps going “I’m not done telling you about my dream!” says Mary as I’m rushing around trying to get ready for church. Shrek and Fiona then enter the picture…(To be continued tonight?? I guess we’ll see in the morning!)
